Architecture Photography at Berry College

This Workshop is 5 Hours Long

Join photographer and ASoP instructor Ledra Davis Woodlee for an afternoon of exploring the architecture and grounds of one of nations most beautiful and historic College campuses. Berry College, a private liberal arts institution nestled on 27,000 acres outside of Rome, Georgia is not just an educational institution, but also an education for the senses.  The Berry campus is simply a sight to see.  From the photogenic cut stone complex built by Henry Ford in the 1920’s, to the college’s mountain campus, the old mill waterwheel and more, there is just so much to photograph. Join Ledra as she leads you through her alma mater.  A lot has changed in the thirty years since she graduated, but the things that make Berry a breathtakingly beautiful campus are still there for all to see. We may even get lucky and see the resident bald eagles on the nest as well.

For this Workshop:

Accessories - No specific equipment is required for this workshop. With that said, a circular polarizer is very commonly used in landscape photography, and would be a good idea to bring for this workshop if you have one.

Long lens - Also, if you have a very long lens, bring it. If the eagles are around or in their nest you will need it.  Something 300mm or longer will be required to get eagle shots.  Please do not buy a long lens specifically for this workshop as the eagles may not be present and are a small amount of the shooting we will do that day.

Weather – Seasonal weather is unpredictable.  Dressing in layers for this workshop would be a good idea to be prepared for whatever the weather brings.  Have a jacket and possibly some gloves handy in the car. Make sure to bring rain gear for both you and for your camera gear (just in case) and please wear comfortable, sturdy shoes as well.
