PRE-PRODUCTION: The preproduction process covers all the information needed prior to the actual production. This will include the development of the idea of the project and all the elements associated with either the brand/company, script, concept and overall purpose of the project.

PRODUCTION: The production phase covers the use of cameras for video and all technical specifications surrounding the project needs, The use of equipment such as dollies, gimbals, tripods with fluid heads, cranes etc. Video codecs, cinema lenses, follow focus motors, external monitors and other specifics will also be covered.

POSTPRODUCTION: The postproduction phase will cover the use of different software’s used to cut, color correct, grade and export footage for distribution.

In this course, students will learn the basics and core competencies of video/film production for mediums such as feature/short films, commercial, social media and many more. The course is geared towards understanding the various techniques and technical aspects of video production, the use of equipment for video and the business of film.

Adonis Blackwood otherwise known as “Adonisfilms” is a Jamaican born director and camera operator based in Atlanta, GA. He migrated to the United States in 2013 and faithfully served in the United States Army for 8 years while simultaneously pursuing a career in media. Adonis has worked his way up through a couple of years of experience, filling any role he could on a film set. He graduated from the San Franscico Film school with an associate degree in digital film and Video Production and is currently furthering his education by pursuing his BFA in Motion Pictures and Television. Adonis, being a production company owner has secured contracts from numerous multimillion companies such as Atlantic Records, Nike, House of Hoops by Footlocker, Black Tech Week, Mountain Dew, Cxmmunity Co, NBA, TNT and many more.
