April 15th at 1 - 3 pm with Allison Jarek
If you have a collection of photographs and are interested in putting it together in a book, this informative class is for you. There are many reasons to create a book including making an art portfolio, perfecting a collection of baby pictures, creating a holiday gift, documenting an event or gathering and showing off your best cell phone images. The process can be anywhere from simple to highly sophisticated.
Instructor and Atlanta-based photographer Allison Jarek discusses the ins and outs of bookmaking so that you can make the best choices. Allison will introduce you to:
· Defining the purpose of the book
· Editing and sequencing your images
· Choosing layout and designs
· On-line resources for producing your book from magazine & press printed options to beautiful (yet reasonably priced) photo albums. Options will include Blurb, MyPublisher and other resources.
You will discover the art of selecting, organizing, and pacing images within the pages of a book. Whether you’re trying to make family keepsakes or professional portfolios, this demonstration can set you on the right path.
